The people behind A-Z Advising
Allie Staub advises The Scrapbook yearbook at Westfield Middle School in Westfield, Ind., where she teaches art and yearbook. Staub is the JEA Jr. High/Middle School Contest Co-Chair. In her seven years of advising, her yearbook students have earned numerous state and national honors including 5 CSPA Gold and Silver Crowns, NSPA Pacemaker Winner and finalist, Best of Show awards and Picture of the Year (2012, 2013, 2015, 2016). A JEA Rising Star 2015, Staub is a self-taught yearbook adviser and self-proclaimed font snob and yearbook nerd.
Laura Zhu, CJE, advises the Jamboree Yearbook at Toby Johnson Middle School in Elk Grove, California where she also teaches Photoshop. She was Elk Grove Unified School District's 2013 Teacher of the Year and was named JEA's Special Recognition Adviser 2015. Laura's yearbook students have earned several state and national awards including three consecutive CSPA Gold Crowns, CSPA Silver Crown 2015 and a 2011 & 2016 NSPA Pacemaker. Laura is the JEA Jr. High/Middle School Contest Chair.
